Our Summer...... (Part 3 of 5)

JULY.

Part three is all about July.  We had a pretty fun filled month and here are some photos..

1) Independence Day.  Here are Cooper, Katy and Kampbell in their red, white and blue.  Just love how precious these three are - so difficult to get them to smile at the same time though!  The Bram Fam came over and Andrew was home, so we had some food and celebrated.  Then, I took Cooper into downtown Indianapolis for the fireworks show that night.  We had a great day!

2) Katy climbing the dishwasher.  Not sure what it is about my kids loving the dishwasher, but they both have loved climbing in it.  Crazy kiddos.

3) Tim's surgery.  Tim had a short outpatient procedure to remove some weird tissue things he randomly gets.  This is him coming out of anesthesia.  He's always funny when he starts waking up.  He never remembers any of it later on though.  Wish I could have gotten some video.

4) KB's birthday!  Kampbell turned 2 on July 11th.  She's such a sweet grandbaby and I love her so much!!

5) Friday night sprinkler celebration - no real reason, he just wanted to have some sprinkler time, so we did it.

6) My Grandpa's birthday was July 13th and we went down on the 12th to celebrate with him.  Wish I had more pictures, but these will have to do.  Him with his cupcakes :)

7)  The 13th we celebrated Kampbell's birthday at her house for a family party.  She was having a "bee" themed party, so I made her this cupcake cake.

Here are a few pictures of the pretty one on her birthday :)

8) Cooper had swim lessons for 2 weeks during the month of July, here are a few pictures from that:

I just love this one.  He's so handsome!!!

9) We took Kampbell, Cooper and Katy to a splash parkon the 22nd.  It really wasn't warm enough for them to be playing in the water, but hey, it was summertime, so we had to make the most of it.  Poor kiddos had blue lips when we were finished.

Again the smiling at the same time is rough.

10) July 28th we had the Sprinkle for Steph you can click to read more.

11) Another splash park visit with the Cooper and Kate after the sprinkle on the 28th.  They loved this one!

12)  Last, but not least, we bought ourselves a camper!!  Read about that here.

Summer, Part three - OUT!  Stay Tuned, Part 4 coming right up....

Welcome to the World Rhys Lowell Bramlett!

Last night, at 9:08pm, my grandson was born.  Rhys Lowell Bramlett.  He was 21.5 inches long and weighed 7 lbs 14 oz.  He is so precious and his mama did a wonderful job!!

Stephanie and Ryan had a long day yesterday getting ready for the birth of their son.  They were at the hospital bright and early at 6:00am.  She progressed pretty slowly throughout the day, and then after a second dosage of epidural she started progressing, then after the third dose and getting sick, she was ready!

We were super excited to meet Mr. Rhys (it's Welsh, pronounced Reece) and visit with his mommy and daddy.  We didn't know his name before he was born, so that was another exciting part of our evening!  They waited to tell us until we were all in the room with them.  It was pretty special.

Here are a few pictures.

Such a precious baby boy!!  Look at those cheeks and big eyes!!  He looks so much like his big sister!! :)

Welcome to the world Rhys, YOU are so loved!!!

Surprise! Sprinkle for Stephanie!

This past Saturday, I was fortunate enough to be able to go together with Stephanie's mom and MIL to host a surprise sprinkle for her.  We started planning back in May or so for this little event, and though some folks weren't able to make it, I think it turned out nicely.

We got the private room in Steph's favorite restaurant and got everything setup.  Steph's mom made the flower arrangement below, It was super cute with silk flowers, rolled "flower" bibs and socks for Mr. Brambino. Yep, Brambino is the little guy's nickname.  We won't find out his real name until he's born.  They are keeping tight lipped about it!  What we know is that he has the same initials as Ryan and his middle name.

Anyway, back to setting up....  Carla (Ryan's Mom) made the cutest little gift packs for the attendees.  Everyone received a travel sized Bath and Body works lotion and a small candle.  They were so cute.  Since Brambino's room is nautical themed, we went with a nautical theme for the cupcakes, which I had ordered from a local bakery.

It wasn't the most elaborately decorated party, for sure not as decorated as her shower for Kampbell, but that was okay, it was food, fun, friends and gifts, and that's what was most important.  Here is the setup of the room.

Once we finished eating and devouring our cupcakes, Steph opened her gifts, and we took pictures to document the event.

Ryan was such a good sport and hung around for the festivities, and he did such a GREAT job scheming to get Stephanie to the party without having a clue what she was walking into.  Thanks Ryan!

It was a fun time and I'm so glad we were able to surprise Stephanie and celebrate her and the incoming new edition to their (our) family!!

Stephanie’s Baby Shower

The baby shower was on May 5th, (I’m only a month behind!!)  and it was a great time.  Steph’s mom and I had been preparing for almost 2 months for the big event.

We decorated the place to the nines.      Here are a few pictures. The gift table had a banner above and below with “Congratulations Stephanie” with different colored elephants.  That was a fun banner to make.

Above the food table we hung a clothes line with Kampbell’s onesies and three maternity photos that I had taken a few weeks prior.

The picture of the entire room below shows everything.  The 20+ tissue pom poms, yellow tables with vases (baby bottles) & flowers cake table with streamers behind it.  It was so much fun to decorate and make the room come to life!

Once the guest of honor and other guests arrived, we ate lunch, played games and got to the gifts.  Stephanie had lots of fun opening up the gifts.  One below is of Steph, her mom and me.  It was so fun and Stephanie and Kampbell got lots of good stuff!!!
I had the best time throwing this baby shower, and I hope that I’ll get to throw another one in the future!  I think in another life I was a party planner, cause this was way more fun than I have in my day job!

Potty Training

Potty training is going.  I don't think it's going very far, and I think tomorrow he'll be right back in a diaper.  Today is day #6 with Cooper only leaving the house to go to church and the grocery store with us on Sunday.

Friday he only had a couple of accidents, really nothing major, and I continued rushing him to the potty every 20 minutes all day long.  Thank goodness the weekend was coming because my oh my was this mama exhausted.

Friday night, Steph and Ryan came over, and they played with Cooper, and that was nice.  Here are a few pictures of that.

Sissy and Cooper playing golf.  Oh, and look at that baby bump Steph's got.  Isn't she cute?

Cooper has to sit on the floor most of the time while potty training, he's only got big boy undies on, so Steph and Ryan sat with him.  See the expressions on their faces?  Yeah, that's right, they were watching the Wiggles.  They aren't big fans, but they love Coop, so they watch. :)  He was in heaven.
This was on Saturday.  That kid cracks me up.  He had the best time just rolling back and forth over this ball.  I think he fell off of it 40 times before he decided he was finished.  He was having fun at least.

Saturday, we tried to stretch the time out to going to the potty every 30 minutes.  Well, that was a bust, because he'd had 5 accidents before 1pm.  So, back to the 20 minute cycles he went.
Sunday we played Mr. Potato Head a lot.

And we took quite a bit of time to be silly on Sunday also.  I've gotta say, even if he makes me more tired than I've been in quite some time, playing with this boy is so much fun.  I love him to pieces.

There's always more time for golf, right?  Oh, and Andrew's hat.  He just loves hats.

Yesterday there were no accidents according to the hubby.  That means that Daddy was on top of things all day, which is WONDERFUL!  Today is the last day for this.  If things don't work out - we'll put that diaper back on and try again in a few months.  I will never regret taking that time off work to spend with him.  He is precious and we had a great time!

Happy Tuesday Everyone!

Grandbaby Gender Reveal!!

Happy Tuesday to you!  Hope you're having a great day!  I'm not sure if I ever told you all..... But Stephanie and Ryan are going to have a baby!!!  She is due on July 8th and we are sooooooooo excited to meet this little one!!!  She is now 21 weeks along, and we just found out the gender, so I wanted to share that with you and how they shared the news with us!

They wanted to do a gender reveal party, but, since everyone is so busy, they gave us a scavenger hunt of sorts!  Ours was at our house, they did one for Ryan's parents at their house and they did one for Steph's mom also.  We were supposed to be at our house at 6:30pm for the big news. Andrew even came home from college for the big reveal, and Cooper was pretty excited too!!  We weren't how it was going to happen, but we got a text to make sure we were home at 6:28, then at 6:30, we (Tim and me) got this:

So, we looked behind the clock and taped to it was an index card.....  You can read the clue below.....

That was EASY!  Andrew is the biggest Detroit Lions fan I know, so we ventured into his room and looked inside his piggy bank. (Yes, it is ok for a 20 yr old to have a piggy bank.)  Once inside, we found clue #2, below:

Again, EASY.  The closet underneath the staircase has all of our games in it, so we had to find Connect Four and voila, ther was the clue!

Hmmmm, Monkeys, again, easy as pie!  Cooper's is known as our little monkey, so we looked under his bed.  Turns out the clue was taped to the bottom of his mattress, but we found it! Clue #4:

So.... out to the garage pantry where Hubby keeps his beer.  Ha.  Under that, we found clue #5:

Hmm, again, SIMPLE.  Cooper's Ball PIT!!!  Once we had that clue, we found a little white envelope taped to the bottom of his ball pit.  Inside was a pink card, that read this:

So there you have it!  We're going to have a grand-daughter and her name will be Kampbell.   We will be super excited to welcome this little baby girl into the world come July!

We were so touched by the way that Ryan and Stephanie did the big reveal.  It was a fun time and it made us all feel super special.

Thanks for reading, I hope you all have a great day!
